St. Patrick’s Day is a holiday that always sneaks up on me.  Somewhere between Valentine’s Day and Easter, along with spring break, St. Patrick’s Day somehow gets lost in the shuffle when it comes to my paper crafting.  You would think that since I live near a city where they have multiple parades and dye the river green I would remember!

This year I am going to do better; I am promising myself I won’t be scrambling for something green for my daughters to wear as they are heading out the door St. Patrick’s Day morning. I think they would each love one of these paper shamrock corsages to wear.

From home decor to a fashionable hair accessory, I have rounded up some of my favorite St. Patrick’s DIY paper projects.

Paper Shamrocks – Created with just a few strips of patterned paper, these shamrocks could be used to create a garland, card embellishments, or ornaments.

Lucky Pallet Sign – Word art continues to be a popular trend.  This fun little sign would be the perfect addition to your mantel or a picture ledge.

St. Patrick’s Day Banner – It’s not a holiday without a banner! Love how maps are incorporated into the design of this one.

Lucky Charm Center Piece – A houseplant and a little paper is all you need to create a centerpiece for your St. Patrick’s Day meal.

I live with my husband, 7 and 4 year old daughters, and a pug named Pixie in Crystal Lake, Illinois which is in the ‘burbs NW of Chicago.
I started scrapping in 2006 and was quickly addicted!I was an avid scrapper until late summer of 2010 when we started our adoption journey, at that point I was overwhelmed with paperwork (and emotions!) and I had to put something on the back burner in my life but I knew I would eventually come back to it.
We welcomed our daughter home from China in December of 2011 and a few months later I found my groove again and pulled out all of those supplies that had been tucked away.
I started out scrapping again doing traditional layouts, but at the beginning of this year I jumped into Project Life and I love it!
When I’m not scrapping I am usually spending time with our daughters which means library time, going on walks, thrifting (they love it as much as I do!) or watching Kung Fu Panda for the millionth time.I also have an Etsy shop Panda Eight Designs where I sell scrapbooking flair that I design.
