In this day and age of the cell phone, everyone has access to a camera 24 hours a day and everyday moments are being documented more than ever. Even though I love the ease of using my cellphone to take pictures throughout the day, I still love getting out my “big girl camera” to take pictures on special occasions. I would get it out more often, but as my kids get older it gets harder to get them to cooperate for pictures so I have to take then when I can so that means the stealthiness of the cellphone camera comes into play!
As a scrapbooker I think I am drawn to cameras as a design element because they are the tool used to capture those memories. I have even decorated with vintage cameras in my craft room and am always on the lookout for ones to add to my collection. Any of these DIY camera themed paper crafting projects (like the vintage camera photo box pictured below) are pretty enough to display and add to my real camera collection!
