In this day and age of the cell phone, everyone has access to a camera 24 hours a day, and everyday moments are being documented more than ever. Even though I love the ease of using my cellphone to take pictures throughout the day, I still love getting out my “big girl camera” to take pictures on special occasions. I would get it out more often, but as my kids get older it gets harder to get them to cooperate for pictures. That means I have to take them when I can, which is where the stealthiness of the cellphone camera comes into play!
As a scrapbooker, I think I am drawn to cameras as a design element because they are the tool used to capture those memories. I have even decorated with vintage cameras in my craft room and am always on the lookout for ones to add to my collection. Any of these DIY camera-themed paper crafting projects (like the vintage camera photo box pictured below) are pretty enough to display and add to my real camera collection!
