I also make the 12 major Cancer bracelets using pretty jewels and beads as I feel all need something pretty especially when they are going thru such a hard trial. I make U.S. A red, white, and blue bracelets to celebrate our veterans of which I am one. And I like to make bracelets and earrings for those that know the colors they want, I have only been beading for about a year. I love it

The only beaded jewelry I’ve ever made was a simple pin and I think it was just beads sewn onto a piece of cloth. But I have made beaded Christmas tree ornaments that I hang every year on my tree. I love beads, and I keep thinking that someday I would like to make some nice necklaces or bracelets. If I win this prize, that someday might be sooner than I thought.

Making Jewerly has been nothing shy of a miracle. it is helping me gain my confidence back after a near death car accident in 2007, left with a brain injury and many difficulties (daily living) am now on a small disability pension..creating has helped me grow, and I use it as a form of rehabilitation..(on going)

I love everything 3 years into my injuries I woke up with a renewed sense of creation with that I learned how to chain maille,(simpler links) create with Swarvoski’s,(earrings and necklaces) wire wrapped pendants and hand made rings then macramé bracelets list goes on ..as long as my eyes can see(compromised with my head injury)and my left hand doesn’t give out.( broken in accident & wasn’t properly fixed..i will continue to make what I can..this site is AWSOME!~

I still crochet but would like to try something new also. I especially like making things that other people appreciate and like to receive (you can only use so many scarves, etc). My income is fixed and limited so don’t know when I can afford to start a new project like this. I would love to receive this prize!

I’ve been beading since the 90’s. There’s something tactilly and visually exciting when you work with beads. I like mixing it up; seed beads, crystal, wire, polymer, sterling and metal beads. You can gather your supplies and let your imagination take you on a journey to create something beautiful. I work with addicts and its the one thing I can do to clear my mind. I suggest it to everyone. Definitely cheaper then therapy!!!
