Did you know that September is National Honey Month? Don’t feel bad, I didn’t know either until I was filling out my calendar for this month and just happened to notice it notated in the margin! When you think of honey of course you think of its source, the honey bee. Recently I have noticed the humble bee trending on Pinterest and other social media as a design element. When I started paper crafting several years ago it seemed like butterflies were everywhere. They were on home décor as well as patterned paper and embellishments and I think I still have a few butterfly punches in my stash. It appears that the butterfly has flown away and has been replaced by the bee. I recently received my monthly scrapbooking kit and lo and behold what did it contain? Bee ribbon! I love how Patricia used that same ribbon on her scrapbook layout .
Bees are now buzzing around cards, scrapbook layouts, party invitations and even DIY paper home décor. Find some great ideas for buzzing projects below!

These paper crafting projects all use bees as a motif in fun and different ways. I am in love with these bee snowflakes. I can honestly say I have never seen a snowflake with bees on it before and I cannot wait to try this project with my daughter!

I started scrapping in 2006 and was quickly addicted!I was an avid scrapper until late summer of 2010 when we started our adoption journey, at that point I was overwhelmed with paperwork (and emotions!) and I had to put something on the back burner in my life but I knew I would eventually come back to it.
We welcomed our daughter home from China in December of 2011 and a few months later I found my groove again and pulled out all of those supplies that had been tucked away.
I started out scrapping again doing traditional layouts, but at the beginning of this year I jumped into Project Life and I love it!
When I’m not scrapping I am usually spending time with our daughters which means library time, going on walks, thrifting (they love it as much as I do!) or watching Kung Fu Panda for the millionth time.I also have an Etsy shop Panda Eight Designs where I sell scrapbooking flair that I design.
