One of the non-blurry pictures I managed to take of the beautiful chandeliers from the Palace of Versailles
Chandeliers have a certain elegance about them. The tiered lighting, almost as if it were dripping from the ceiling, looks so casually graceful, like such refinement requires no effort on its part. They can make any space look instantly classy. Since chandeliers can be expensive, I’ve gathered some DIY chandelier projects that we all can enjoy! Having some creative lighting can totally transform a room. Even chandeliers that don’t light make lovely DIY room decor.
I saw the most beautiful chandeliers when I visited the Palace of Versailles in France just lining the Hall of Mirrors–it was my favorite room in the entire palace! (To be honest, my favorite part was the grounds, they have such beautiful gardens, but that’s a story for another blog post.) I could just imagine grand balls being held there, everyone dressed in their fancy poofy pants and bustled dresses. And of course there’s a live string quartet on both ends of the hall, so everyone can hear the music. Sigh… my imagined ball was much better than the crowds of tourists I was actually surrounded by. I love DIY chandeliers because I can pretend I’m living in a palace, without busting my budget. If you’re looking for some cool lighting projects, take a look at the projects below!
