Ecuador-Inspired Fiesta Colorful DIY Bracelet
Materials:
- Multi-colored painted wooden beads, 5mm
- Natural colored wooden beads, 5mm
- Gold colored memory wire
- Round-nose pliers
- Heavy-duty wire cutters
Instructions:
I decided that for each loop, I would create a different pattern. If desired, you can create your bracelet with only one pattern. I prefer not to cut my memory wire until I’ve strung all my beads on the memory wire. One other tip is to extend the pattern for each loop because it expands when you wear the bracelet, so I ended up with just about five loops with four patterns. (See photo below)
Loop 1: Continue this pattern until entire loop is filled: string on the memory wire, (1) natural bead, (1) blue bead, (1) natural bead, (1) green bead, (1) natural bead, (1) yellow bead, (1) natural bead, (1) pink bead, (1) natural bead, and (1) purple bead.
Loop 2: Continue this pattern until entire loop is filled: (1) natural bead, (1) blue bead, (1) green bead, (1) yellow bead, (1) pink bead, and (1) purple bead.
Loop 3: Continue this pattern until entire loop is filled: (1) natural bead, (3) blue beads, (1) natural bead, (3) green beads, (1) natural bead, (3) yellow beads, (1) natural bead, (3) pink beads, (1) natural bead, and (3) purple beads.
Loop 4: I repeated Loop 1’s pattern to finish off. I also finished off each end with two natural beads.
After you have strung on all your beads, close the end with a loop using your round-nose pliers. Be careful to direct your loop towards the outside. This is so when you wear your bracelet, you will not be poked by the loop. Cut off the excess wire and finish off the other end with a loop as well.
