I’m Amy Kunkle, a paper crafting blogger, and now podcaster. Today I’m going to talk about my podcast, {crazy} beYOUtiful Podcast: Getting to Know Creatives and Makers in the Paper Crafting Industry, and why you might want to subscribe to this idea.
I was introduced to podcasting in March of 2015 when my friend suggested I listen to a fitness podcast. I opened up the app on my phone (which we all have, or can easily download) and searched for the podcast. I found it, and several more I thought looked interesting. Then I went to the Games & Hobbies Category to find something in my niche. Crickets. I knew right then I needed to create a podcast.
It only took ten months for everything to fall into place, LOL! I will spare you the details of HOW I did it, but I thought WHY I created it is important, as well as WHAT you can expect when you listen.
Why did I create this podcast?
I believe that podcasting can give you a platform to connect more personally with your audience. They hear your voice, get to know your humor and personality, and feel like they know you. And I enjoy talking, which works well for podcasting. 🙂
What you can expect when you listen:
Tuesdays are Guest Interviews (approx. 30 minutes long)
I ask questions to get to know them, find out what their background is in, what their creative space is like and what are their favorite products. Then we focus on an aspect of their business that makes them unique {or YOUnique as I like to say}.
Who I’ve had on so far:
Creatives (blogging and creative online business):
Heather Hofmann (Houses Built of Cards), Holly Endress (Friday Mashup and other challenge blogs) and Jennifer Wilson (SimpleScrapper.com).
Makers (creating a physical product):
Eileen Hull (designing products and tools with Sizzix and ClearSnap), Wendy Vecchi (Ranger Ink and Stampers Anonymous) and Kelly Purkey (licensing her own products).
Fridays are Creativity Hacks! The episodes are 5-8 minutes long, and I chat about ways you can be more creative, improve productivity and bring our your inner {crazy} as I call it. In the future, this Friday episode may develop into Q&A sessions where I answer questions from listeners.
I would love for you to listen and subscribe on iTunes. You can find me at www.crazybeYOUtiful.com and the podcast is on iTunes HERE.
