What mother or grandmother wouldn’t love to look at pictures of their kids or grandkids while sewing for them cute outfits and accessories? This easy Mother’s Day Craft, a wood “love” letter sign decoupaged with die cut scissors, was as fun to make as it is to look at.
Mother’s Day Craft: Wood “Love” Letter Photo Holder
- Wood ‘love’ letters
- Printed paper
- Mod Podge
- White chalk paint
- Pink paint
- Die cutter and scissor die
- 4 medium clothespins
- Hot glue
The first step is to paint the wood letters with white chalk paint and set aside to dry.
Then, die cut a bunch of scissors out of a variety of pretty printed papers.
Lay out the scissors onto the wood letters and Modge Podge them in place.
After it has dried, trim off the excess paper parts of the scissors.
The pink paint is applied on the sides of the wood letters, on the edges and a bit on the front, still leaving some white areas. This light brushing of color is intended to give the letters an aged, soft look.
The final step is to glue 4 medium clothespins to the back of the wood letters.
