Welcome! It’s Day 6 of our Jewelry Around the World Promotion, and we’re so excited to share all of these DIY jewelry projects with you. This quick and easy DIY bracelet will have you rocking the nautical trend in no time! We can’t wait to make our own and to use this project as inspiration for more nautical craft ideas.
This easy, inexpensive wrap bracelet DIY was inspired by my trips to Wilmington, North Carolina. When my now-fiance was stationed in North Carolina, we took many mini-trips to this coastal town.
The area is equal parts beach and city, with boutiques and eateries lining its charming streets, all surrounded by the nearby water. When I spotted this ship’s wheel charm at the craft store, I was instantly reminded of our romantic strolls along the coastline.
Nautical Wrap DIY Bracelet
To complete this jewelry project, you’ll simply need one ship’s wheel charm and a spool of twine. I cut six 48-inch pieces of twine, and used three on each side.
Slip three pieces of twine into one of the slots of the ship’s wheel and fold them in half. Then, braid those pieces down to the end, completing the braid with a thick knot. Repeat on the other side.
Once both sides have been braided, fray the leftover ends and cut them to be even. The neutral tassels add a rope-like feel to the already nautical wrap DIY bracelet.
