20 Pop-Up Card Ideas

This post is brought to you by Martha Bonneau from MugsyBoo.

As a paper crafter, card making fascinates me. When I create with paper, I make scrapbook layouts or pocket page projects that are typically (with the exception of a few embellishments) flat and 2-dimensional. I love how DIY card makers are able to get so many details into a relatively small space, and I am even more fascinated when their work literally pops off the card! When I started exploring the 3D and pop-up card trend, I expected the techniques to be difficult and hard to achieve, but I was pleasantly surprised. I found many ideas that, as a novice card maker, I felt comfortable that I could recreate. I love these cute and simple pop-up card ideas that are perfect for the beginner. Once you become more comfortable with your pop up card creating skills, why not try making an exploding card? And once you tackle that, the sky is the limit and you may be ready to dive into creating a pop-up card in a box.

I have gathered 20 of my favorite pop up card tutorials to share with you. Some have step by step instructions and some even have videos. There are cards for everyone . . . flower cards, cards with cute animals, cards for kids, Christmas cards, easy cards, and ornate cards. You name the occasion and there is a pop up card you can create for it!
