Summer is officially on! The weather has finally decided to cooperate with us, and it’s time to get out there and do all the summer things we know and love. My favorite summertime event is the annual strawberry picking. I have a secret little farm that has the biggest, sweetest strawberries and I’ve made it a summertime tradition with my little ones to trek across the city to pick a bounty of the juicy red beauties. This year, we picked so many strawberries that we can’t possibly eat them all ourselves. Of course, I did this with a great party in mind.
I am throwing together a quick party for the kids and my very closest friends. And I can’t throw a party without some easy DIY party decor! I am going to make everyone a sweet little pot of homemade jam to take home, as well as set up an easy summer crafts for kids table, so they can make a strawberry themed craft project while the grown-ups grill and enjoy summer yard games.
Whenever the weather turns warm, summer parties and strawberries are the first things I think of. From craft projects, knitting and crochet ideas and using strawberries in my menu planning – I just can’t get enough of these delicious berries.
