We’re featuring these fantastic projects all month with giveaways so you can make your own versions of their wonderful crafts.

I absolutely adore the cowl in the third picture to the right as a display of a demonstration of what you can do with the yarn. I believe it is arm knit and it inspires me to review my arm knitting skills. which were always shaky at best, but which would certainly be worth reviewing to produce such a gorgeous item.

I like to make almost anything with yarn. The last several projects have been gifts for others’ pleasure. Yarn can be used for so many things, it would be foolish to limit myself to one paragraph of what I like to make with it. I have an afghan on the needles that I started with Chemo in 2012. There’s a stole waiting for me to feel adequate to knit it. And I’m working on some slippers for someone else. Thank you for the chance to win some lovely yarn.

I have made so many things with yarn! I started in high school knitting my own sweaters, if you are going to do it, go big! I have crocheted hats and booties for the whole family, they wear out fast! scarves of every color, I even knited one for Madame Defarge as a project when reading ” A Tale of Two Cities”. I went through the macramé stage and the basket stage, and the pot holder and towels and now I’ve even incorporated yarn in some of my cards.
I’ve probably left out some things. Oh, we can’t forget the kite tales and the pom poms. What on earth would I do with out several skeins of yarn around for children’s projects? I have great grandchildren now who need help with projects so that basket looks mighty inviting!!! it would make this grand “momma” a hero!

I’ve really been wanting to experiment with some chunky yarn. Honestly, the thing I would most like to make is that cowl thing that Katniss wears in one of the Hunger Games movies, but I’m so not skilled enough. 🙂

I love making things as fund raisers for charities. My favourite is making wash cloths with a donkey design on them for The Donkey Sanctuary of Canada. They sell them in the gift shop to raise money for the donkeys. Makes me feel I have accomplished something!

I raise all colors of alpacas & use their soft hair to make beautiful yarns-from delicate fingerling weight to nice, thick rug yarns. I love all types of yarn projects, but my current favorite item is knitting holders for hand sanitizer bottles our of the thick rug yarn. It has a big loop at the top so that you can hang them everywhere-in the car, from a doorknob, or(as I do) on the gate leading into our barn area. Provides biosecurity with style!

I recently finished amigurumi elephants for my 8 grandchildren. I think my next project will be some crocheted flower hair clips for the granddaughters to wear at their uncle’s wedding this summer. So, I guess I like to make whatever suits my need (or my fancy) at the time.
